In May of this year, we completed the installation of a second aquaponics test facility as part of the French research project "APIVA" (Aquaponie, Innovation, Végétale et Aquaculture).
Launched in 2014, the APIVA programme (AquaPonie, Innovation Végétale et Aquaculture) focuses on the development of an integrated fish farming system and in particular on the coupling between fish farming and vegetable cultivation - called aquaponics.
